On Good Friday 2010 (April 2), a skirmish broke out between German paratroopers and the Taliban in the Afghan province of Kunduz, in which three Germans were killed and eight wounded.

It was the first prolonged combat action by German soldiers since the end of World War II.

A very varied route with many climbs and a lot of nature. Perfect hike for very warm days.

3.5 out of 5 *. One third of very wide paths with lots of hikers and cyclists on Sundays.

This gave me a great idea to get into birding. With great effort, I managed to find a couple of birds, but I still don't know their names. I still need to practice.

I am absolutely thrilled with this tour 🤩
The first part of the hike to the Dhünntalsperre is, in my opinion, absolutely fantastic 🤩

I will definitely include this route in future hikes 🤩

This beautiful route mostly went along the water. However, there were a large number of riders on horseback, which was challenging for me as a respectful non-rider.

Small, fine and varied hike from the Hüttchen hiking car park. It was nice to walk over the heights and along the Dhünn in the sunny winter weather. Altenberg Cathedral is always fun, especially when the sun shines so beautifully through the windows.
