April 20, 2022,Albanien - Quelle "Blaues Auge" 20.04.2022
Today we went to the source called "Blue Eye". A little paradise in the mountains. Since the season hasn't started yet, our small group were the only visitors. Only the hard-working landscape gardeners and construction workers made sure that the coming visitors could feel comfortable.

Especially a tourist walk to a spring in the karst rock in the shape of an "eye". Surroundings certainly so beautiful.

The water comes from a natural cave that extends at least 50 meters underground. Divers have descended this deep and measured the depth. However, they suspect that this cave extends much deeper into the …

The karst spring "Blue Eye" is the most water-rich spring in Albania. Access is no longer permitted. There is a large parking lot (0-3 hours 200 leks, 3-4 hours 300 leks, 8-24 hours 800 leks - how much it costs 4-8 hours is not clear), and the walk to the spring costs 50 leks (less than 50 cents).

Between today's Europe-wide rainy weather fronts, we stop at the spring, which is also called the "Blue Eye". And we catch a window of sunshine again 😁

The water here emerges with high pressure from a spring drop in the middle. The turquoise water at the edge and the dark blue core give the spring its name. The water shoots …

After walking for 15/20 minutes in the full sun, we arrive. The "Blue Eye" is a water source and natural phenomenon that occurs in the village of Muzinë in the municipality of Finiq, in the south of Albania. The clear blue water of the river, a popular tourist attraction, it is also quite busy. The water is super clear and …
