If you don't want to hike all the way back through the Turmfalkenschlucht, you should take this detour. The way uphill is already a highlight and on the plateau there is a cactus landscape from another planet.

The original hike was not possible. Farmers secured their gardens with locked gates and the marking privado. We had to walk back to the right end on the map, so you could also leave it out.

Now we are lying on the couch and have "legs"! 🥴

Today was a strange day. First rain in the morning (except for a few drizzle showers) for the first time in almost two weeks. It was rather humid all day. So we started very late and only wanted to do an easy tour. The rather short tour in the valley of the kestrels (with quite a few meters of altitude) …

Nice hike! Not worth the hikes on the Levadas of Madeira Island, not very far (which I recommend). Good for a warm-up and to do preferably in the morning ... no parking, a little hard to park

The tour suddenly ends in front of a locked gate, be careful not to leave the main road, see photos, that's really stupid.

a very nice tour, great vegetation, very varied. The way back through the cacti was a bit adventurous 😅, but the foresight was all the more beautiful🏝.

The green gorge of the kestrel, in the Barranco de los Cernicalos. Very nice circuit, a lot of green, surprisingly a lot of water.
Nowhere else in Gran Canaria does water flow in a stream all year round as in this Barranco.
Sturdy shoes are essential!
