Before the hike, in great spring weather, we walked around Lake Zeesen with its zoo. The latter doesn't look so inviting at the moment because of the forestry work. There are lots of signposts around Lake Zeesen, so it's impossible to get lost. After the hike, all the ice cream parlors on Bahnhofstrasse kW invite you to linger.
