Who a river hike....it's a forest hike. The Dahme is almost always visible, is only frequented from time to time, but it's a good thing that the little dog can drink and bathe. Halfway through Herrmann's market economy in Märkisch Buchholz, sooo cute, everything old preserved, lots of outdoor seating, totally rustic inside, you could spend hours here. Shortly thereafter …

90% forest floor, well signposted. Very varied thanks to the signs with sayings from different poets. Parking at the church in Märkisch-B. Sufficient rest stops available. Follow the white feather!

It was very nice, this year-end hike with sunshine and a blue sky. A very nice and quiet part of the Dahme embedded in beautiful nature there.
That calls for exploring by canoe on warmer summer days 🛶 ☀️ 🏞️

Because there are things in the woods that you could lie in the moss for years to think about. Franz Kafka

A find on my round today along the Dahme.

A very nice round.

My favorite text on this poetic forest hike, the forest reading trail in the Dahme-Heideseen Nature Park. A real discovery! A wonderful hike through a wonderfully tidy forest, sometimes …

I wasn't expecting anything and I don't know the area, but!, so great nature, a lot of peace and quiet and animals in peace and in harmony with nature. A great round that I will definitely repeat 🥰

The Dahme between Märkisch Buchholz and the Hermsdorfer Mühle is a picturesque stretch of river. The "Lesefährte Waldweisen" (Waldwiesen reading trail), an art and culture project run by the Hammer forestry company, leads through the forests and along the Dahme, with boards on which poetic texts about the forest can be read.

If sunshine is forecast for a November Sunday, nothing can keep me indoors 🌞 I'm particularly fascinated by the Dahme Valley. This tributary of the Spree has a middle section where the river flows slowly through extensive forests, far from any settlements.
