On a south-facing relaxation lounger, you can let your gaze wander over the heights of the opposing Steinriegel (364m) and into the underlying Diebachtal.

Loheichenwald Trail

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

While large parts of the St. Oswald loop run along farm roads, here a single trail leads over a ridge through a narrow deciduous forest. The path is interspersed with stones, otherwise earthy and soft.

This loop is more gentle in nature. Less spectacular but pleasant to walk with a few small highlights. The banks are somewhat few and far between. Definitely good fun.

The St. Oswald loop is part of the RheinBurgenWeg circular tours. Varied, forests, small rock formations and along idyllic streams.
The route is certified with 64 adventure points, but the seal was only valid until January 2021 - I couldn't find out whether it was extended.
We parked in the car park at the community hall (Rheingoldstr. 1, 55413 Manubach) …

A beautiful and varied path🌳! The path starts in Manubach at the cemetery, there is a small hiking car park here, I estimate space for about 7 🚗
The loop is very well signposted and there are benches to sit on and enjoy the views!
Today I had a few GPS outages, hence the straight lines in the route. In …

A nice all-weather tour. Great views. More information boards would be desirable.

In bright sunshine and 25°C we went through the romantic side valley between Bingen and Bacharach. Even if there weren't the spectacular views like on the other side of the Rhine (Rhein-Wisper-Glück Lorch), it was still a very varied and great route. You should definitely make the detour to the “Talblick”. All types of hiking trails are represented. Some of …

On a clear, cold winter day, this tour took us along forest paths and trails around Manubach. Sometimes through woods past rocky outcrops, sometimes across meadows, and finally through vineyards, always with a view of the valley. In Manubach, there are several beautifully restored half-timbered houses to discover.

From the hiking car park at the community hall in Rheingoldstraße, a small yellow sign points to the start of the tour, 15m away. Via the Gailsbach it then goes from the deeply cut side valley up to the cemetery and then on through varied forests, large fields, green areas and vineyards.
A successful hiking route with plenty of seating, …

Not exactly the most spectacular tour and partly neglected by the paths.
In such groups I find the ideal space for the little things along the way.

The St. Oswald loop is part of the RheinBurgenWeg circular tours.
We started at the parking lot at the community hall and then climbed steeply up the slope to the Rheinhöhenblick. It continued on the slope over the Fuchskopfblick and the Lohwald before descending towards Schadbachtal.
