Snow White's Breakfast Spot and Swing

Highlight • Viewpoint

A nice place to linger and pause. Fascinating that made of slate? Whatever you can only see from below. Actually, a saint figure or a patron saint belongs in there.

Unfortunately there was nothing to be seen of the dwarfs, only in a cave Snow White lies in her panoramic coffin and waits for a prince who is shoddy enough to drop the coffin during transport.

Very nice viewing platform. It has a great and expansive view of the valley and other rock formations.

At the Lahrer Mühle there is a small "waterfall" where the Dünnbach simply couldn't saw through a slate rock and pours over a few small steps into a basin.

March 19, 2024,Traumschleife Dünnbach-Pfad (Hunsrück)
We chose the Dünnbachpfad as the first of 3 “dream loops” on the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig. Unfortunately, it was not completely accessible due to unannounced tree felling work.
You had to find alternative routes yourself during the tour, which led to a noticeable shortening for us and ultimately you didn't get to see all of the announced highlights.
Conclusion:
Despite the difficulties …

A very beautiful, natural, family-friendly forest tour with a marble run, forest swing and dwarves' cave, which can be extended as desired to include other beautiful places. From the “Dream Loops” series, all of which are highly recommended.
I recommend sturdy shoes.

A small tour today in bad weather. Start at the longest marble run in Germany with 400 m. Walked part of the dream loop Dünnbachpfad, past the swing rest and dwarf cave.

Today we set off early in the morning towards Zilshausen to walk the "Dünnbachtal-Pfad" dream loop. A path that, according to the description, promises peace, quiet, forest and rocks (see saar-hunsrueck-steig.de/traumschleifen/duennbach-pfad) and it delivers!

The original plan to experience the sunrise live was only half successful, because the cloudy sky didn't reveal much of it. However, this did not detract …

Overcast but dry skies, with sunshine expected only from 5:00 p.m. We drive to Zilshausen and take on the Dünnbachpfad dream loop.
I've modified or extended a few sections to make the route a bit longer. There are some pretty rugged and steep sections of the rocky path, so hiking boots and surefootedness are required.
Overall, the loop is a …
