Estebrügge Swing Bridge

Highlight • Bridge

A picturesque swing bridge in Estebrügge. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see it in action. Luckily, I didn't have to wait. :-) The narrow bridge doesn't allow two-way traffic. It's lined with beautiful, old, colorful half-timbered houses.

Next to the bridge, the "Hanseatenweg" leads through a small wetland. A good alternative to the road towards Cranz. An old wooden bridge is currently not accessible (5/2020), but the path leads through an apple orchard.

April 27, 2023,Nachmittagswanderung nach Estebrügge und zurück ⛅️🚶
After lunch we went on a hiking tour to Estebrügge.
On the Estedamm we passed beautifully restored old houses. It went via the Kingdom to the Estebrücke and on to Klein Hove. Following the road we came to the second bridge in Estebrügge, which we crossed again.
Via Groß Hove we went to Seehof and further over the roller bridge …

After the Algarve, the wanderlust was still there, so we headed to the old country.
The apple blossoms weren't quite in full bloom yet, but the old country farms with their doors were all the more inspiring 🥰

After breakfast we always followed the Este hiking trail through the Altes Land to Estebrügge and back to Conz via the Este barrage.

We took advantage of the glorious weather and took a look at the last apple blossoms from the Estedeich. There was also a short detour to the Elbe. And otherwise a lot of nice things to the left and right of the path. A stop at the Bey fruit farm with seating under the fruit trees was nice and can …

This afternoon I went on a circular hike on the dikes of the lower Este on well-known paths:

Estesperrwerk - Estewanderweg to Cranz - Königreich - Groß Hove - Altes Estesperrwerk.

I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves ;-).

A beautiful and relaxing hike of around 12 km away from the Hamburg port birthday celebrations that started today.

At the time of the apple harvest, a short hike through the Altes Land with its orchards is a "must have" for me.

I left the Elbe on the right and took the Este hiking trail from the Este barrage, which mostly runs along the dike, via Kingdom to the Este bridge in Hove. One is amazed that one finds …

Actually, today was planned very differently. But firstly it turns out differently and secondly than you think. So take a quick look at the Komoot app to see what it suggests for us this weekend. You can see what came of it here: A wonderful hike along the Este. We can highly recommend the tour. There is so much to …

A hike on the other side of the Elbe was planned. Low tide.... the ferry from Cranz didn't go, from the Lüheanleger only in 2 hours. So finally implemented the tour on the Estedeich.
Really nice, there is so much to see. I was most happy about the plush mors that flew in front of my lens : )
