Between the city park and the Iller, Hofgarten and Burghalde lies Kempten's old town, which is well worth seeing. From the main train station, which is just outside, you can easily get to ZUM, the "central transfer point" in the city center, by bus. From there you can reach all the sights in and around the old town on foot.

Today we visited Kempten's old town. It's a lively and colorful town with many sights. We set off and followed the historic city tour past the St. Lorenz Basilica, the Court Garden, the Town Hall Square, the Mühlbach Quarter, the open staircase, and finally the Burghalde. It's an exciting and interesting route that's easy to walk.
