Bridge over the Ziller

Highlight • Bridge

The Ziller makes it clear what elemental force water possesses. On the one hand, this is a magical attraction, provided you can take a great photo of the bridge, and on the other hand, you don't want to "cool off" in it without any protection.

August 29, 2023,Zillertal: Schwendauer Pfad Nr. 6 - Wasserfallrundweg
Since the peaks were still overcast, we preferred to stay near the valley today and walked the waterfall trail near Schnwendau. Anyone who thought this would be a leisurely walk will quickly be taught otherwise: Already through the district of Mühlen it is a bit steeper uphill and already to the Wilden Mann Schrofen you should definitely have good shoes …

Super nice, lonely tour. Can also be done easily by public transport. Unfortunately, from Keilerhof onwards it's asphalt....

Showing Translation

Beautiful round tour to the waterfall and across meadows. In between, detours to the Penken or Gasthof Astegg are possible.
Good surefootedness should be available. Trekking poles are not absolutely necessary, but certainly helpful.
