Hoher Gang via ferrata

Highlight • Climb

Sure-footedness and a head for heights is a great advantage. On a nice weekend, many people pay attention when out and about and be careful with falling rocks

Hoher Gang Trail

Highlight • Trail

For sure-footed hikers with a head for heights, an enjoyable ascent to Seeben Lake with impressive views in all directions.
In bad weather and on wet, slippery ground, it is better to only use this as an alternative ascent!

Lake Seebensee

Highlight • Lake

Crystal-clear, blue-green water. Mystical in the fog, kitsch in the bright sun. Seebensee is a dream. Tranquil yet spectacular at the same time. From the southern shore, a magnificent view with the Wetterstein and Zugspitze mountains in the background.

Immensteig Trail (Ehrwald)

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

The Immensteig is steep and secured with ropes in some places, but it's not a true via ferrata. You should be sure-footed, but the path isn't overly exposed. Some wet spots can be slippery.

My initial plan was to climb Sonnenspitze(2416m). The video of the climb was a bit scary and not doable alone. So I decided to climb Drachenkopf(2303m). It too did not seem to be some easy climb but i wanted to do at least one peak.
Once we reached Ehrwald Talstation, the path i had planned was blocked. We had to …
Recommended only very early in the morning, before the cable car 🚞 goes up, otherwise surplus of tourists, but only up to the Coburger Hütte. After that, mountain-loving people can be met.

Start of the Ehrwalder Almbahn car park at the valley station (€ 5 / day).
The tour begins there with the fastest ascent directly over a secured via ferrata (high gear) and ends at the end with a via ferrata (Immensteig). The actual ascent to the Sonnenspitze is via the south side of the mountain. Depending on the good weather …

Today on the road with Sebastian from the YouTube channel Alpenschickeria. From the Ehrwalder Almbahn valley station via the high corridors and Coburger Hütte to the Ehrwalder Sonnenspitze. Pleasure climbing suspended in the 2nd degree, fortunately little frequented today. Great tour with a beautiful view of the Zugspitz massif and the surrounding mountains. 😍
