From the ridge between the summits of Cyfrwy and Cadair Idris there is an impressive view of the lake Llyn y Gader deep down under the cliffs. Watch your step, though, and stay away from the edge - some of the rocks and stones may be loose.

Cyfwry maybe the western arm of the Llyn y Gader cwm, but it is also the playground of rockclimbers. The Cyfwry Arete is famed as a spectacular lower grade climb in it's own right, but along the arete there are wonderful routes such as the Table Direct, a vertical climb up to a peculiar table-like pinnacle.

Well we finished the route but for some reason komoot stopped recording at the top 😆 Epic views and a beautiful sunrise summit, despite the clouds 😂

An awesome walk, we climbed up out of the clouds this morning into sunshine, other peaks visible in the distance above the clouds lying over the valleys below. A strenuous climb in places, the Pony Track is, though, perhaps one of the easiest routes up Cadair Idris.
