The trail is unmaintained and really challenging, I would really advise against walking the trail as it is!

A very beautiful day. The levada is well maintained. Despite this, the nature around it is very pristine. We only met a few levada workers along the whole route. Good footwear is essential. This is a really nice walk. You need good condition for it as it is sometimes steep. Not many people there. During my 3 hours I didnt see anyone. The levada and the roads are often overgrown with plants. If you like a challenge this is fun.
