A short nice easy hike suitable for children.
From the car park through the stone forest to the well-preserved castle ruins of Weißenstein, you can reach the various levels via the wooden stairs.
From the tower you have a phenomenal view over the Steinwald and Upper Palatinate.
Don't forget the Mother Earth sculpture.

A fantastic hike in glorious weather
to the Weißenstein castle ruins.🌞🌞🌞🥾🌲🥾 It is 863.5 m above sea level. in Bavaria's smallest nature park, the Steinwald. From the keep of the ruins there is a wonderful panoramic view over the Upper Palatinate Forest. The ruined castle is a hilltop castle on a spur.

Another wonderful tour. Unfortunately, my hiking sticks broke and I had to turn back at the castle ruins. The frozen snow was icy and the risk of falling was just too great! In any case, I will do the complete tour when the snow and ice has melted up there in a month.
