On this tour you pass several small lakes of a former quarry, which are now occupied by various animals and plants (picture). However, most of the old quarry is now part of a golf course.
Free parking is available at the starting point of the cemetery.

Nice little hike from/to the parking lot at the Mombach cemetery. Through the Gonsenheim forest to Budenheim and follow the signs there. The golf course is freely accessible, but you should stay on the marked paths.
After the hike you can replenish your energy reserves in the "Waldcafe".
The small tour is also suitable for Nordic walkers, joggers and cyclists.
