Here you have to walk across the runway if you want to go to Gibraltar. It's really strange. You can watch the planes or helicopters taking off and landing here.

Gibraltar was on the agenda today. From our accommodation in La Linea de Concepción, we took a taxi to the Gibraltar border. With our ID cards, we went through border control, as we were leaving the EU, and in no time we were in the British Overseas Territory.

Our destination was the Rock of Gibraltar, a 426-meter-high limestone monolith.

Hi Komootler, today we had made Gibraltar and it was a real highlight. There are 3 options for this tour. By taxi from 25 euros, with an e-bike, or hiking. We opted for the hike and saw the most that way. The monkeys are well known, but the cave exceeded all expectations. Admittedly, it was a bit exhausting with the …

After crossing the Spanish-British border into Gibraltar (GBZ), we took a shuttle service to the southernmost point of Europe, overlooking Morocco. Afterwards, we visited a huge stalactite cave with a fantastic light show. The journey continued higher and higher up the cliffs to amazing viewpoints and the Barbary macaques. These macaques are very trusting, but also extremely dangerous, as they …

A great tour on Gibraltar comes to an end. I just let Komoot keep running as we drove up the mountain to the stalactite cave and the monkey rock. Now go back over the border to Spain 🇪🇸 on Gibraltar there is right-hand traffic. If you like it, you can shop endlessly in the city. Main Street is said to …

You can park on a large P in front of the border and take the bus into the city. Or drive across the border by car. There are free P. But I stood at the border for half an hour when entering and exiting.

Today we spontaneously pay a visit to Gibraltar aka "The Rock", which is about a 45-minute drive from Tarifa. We park our van on the Spanish side and cross the disputed border on foot. The passport controls are quick and relaxed. First, you cross the runway of Gibraltar airport on foot! When a plane arrives, the runway is promptly closed …
