Mont Fallère Refuge

Highlight • Mountain Hut

The Mont Fallère Refuge is truly fantastic. Up here you will not only be spoiled by delicious food, but as an overnight guest you can also enjoy a sauna and jacuzzi. You don't actually need this luxury in the mountains, but somehow it's still nice. You can find more details here: rifugiomontfallere.it

Descent only for experienced people, then also possible with the E-BIKE. Some steep steps have to be overcome, so surefootedness is required. A scenic highlight.

At each step a new surprise, throughout the trek we will be accompanied by beautiful wooden sculptures depicting local fauna, people and scenes of everyday life. Most of the works were created by the sculptor and owner of the Siro Viérin refuge

Rifugio Mont Fallère Art Trail

Highlight • Mountain Hut

The Mont Fallère Refuge is located in the valley between Mont Fallère, from which the refuge takes its name, and Monte Rosso di Vertosan, in Loc. Les Crottes at 2,385 m. in the municipality of Saint-Pierre.
The Refuge is a true open-air museum; the owner Siro Viérin has not only dedicated himself to the construction of his refuge, but has created a true museum, a refuge “according to the rules of art” one might say. Along the path, which reaches the refuge from Vetan, a museum has come to life that currently has around 400 sculptures of small and large dimensions scattered along the last three km of the path, in well-studied points, to enrich the beauty of the landscape.
From afar, depending on the light that hits them, sometimes the eye is deceived and one wonders what is real and what is not.

Comments

July 22, 2023,Saint Nicolas - Rifugio Fallere (AO)
Ascent on asphalt and dirt road decidedly soft, the only drawback beautiful panorama of the valley but decidedly monotonous. From the "very crowded" refuge you go down the path with some "sparkling" passages and then soft until the last decidedly adrenaline-pumping stretch with hairpin bends, steps, sliding stretches and much more !!!
