Church of San Lorenzo and Civic Tower of Cuveglio

Highlight • Religious Site

It was the spiritual center of the parish church of Cuvio, diocese of Como. The collegiate church was probably organized in the 15th century. IX-X, included a group of religious subordinates to the archpriest who lived in common and went to officiate in the various chapels of the nearby towns. The bell tower is intact Romanesque, perhaps originally a defensive tower. It houses the "Civic Tower" which rises next to the Church of San Lorenzo and has medieval origins
