In 1938, Richard Graf Matuschka-Greiffenclau and his wife Eleonore had a small chapel built on the edge of the forest south of Mapper Hof. An inscription there reads:

Kloster Eberbach cleared the Mapper Hof before 1200
Rheingau general grove court met here in 1226
Purchased by Friedrich von Greiffenclau
Residences 1749-53
In 1938 this chapel was built by Richard and Eleonore Matuschka-Greiffenclau
The Joseph statue was donated by Countess Clara.

After the Second World War, the farm changed hands several times and has been used as a stud farm since 1998.
