View of Muskau Castle

Highlight • Castle

The castle was destroyed in 1945 and was a ruin. You could not imagine that the castle would be rebuilt again. The construction was a tremendous financial and craft achievement.

The English Bridge connects the German part of the Fürst-Pückler-Park Bad Muskau, which is divided by the Lusatian Neisse, with the significantly larger part on Polish territory.

Schlossvorwerk Courtyard, Bad Muskau

Highlight • Historical Site

There is a souvenir shop next to Cafe Vorwerg. There you can get a park map for 2 € including the mountain park, bathing park and eastern part of the park with hiking routes, in case you are offline at Komoot and want to use the version on paper.

Fürst Pückler Castle

Highlight • Castle

On the terrace of the castle café you can sit with ice cream, coffee and cake directly on Lake Lucie and watch the ducks and swans. There are hearty dishes on the 1st floor. The scenery alone is worth seeing. Open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. With the combination ticket for €10 (as of June 2022) you can visit the exhibition, the special exhibition and the castle tower. The view is terrific, but it's a little cramped up there. In the garden next to the castle there are sun loungers available in summer!

I think about which of the landscape parks I like best: probably this one! It is so spacious, has a magnificent, ancient stock of trees, and wonderful views. And it's not so fancy and crowded. I think it's even grander than Wörlitzer Park, which of course has more pavilions etc. Also: How great that you can walk on the German …
