Mighty rock faces on the Ardèche

Highlight • Other

The hike down along the Ardeche is well worth seeing. The path is quite challenging in several sections. In some places there are poles mounted on the wall that you have to hold on to while you climb along the smooth rock face in foot-sized steps. At one point you have to climb a "chicken ladder" that is about 6 m high. Some sections are wet and a bit slippery even in dry weather. Conclusion: expect the walk to take significantly longer.

Figueras rapids

Highlight • Other

The Figueras is one of the many rapids that punctuate the course of the Ardèche. This one is special, as it marks the exit of the spectacular Cirque de Gaud. It is one of the most grandiose sites in the Ardèche gorges. You will never get tired of watching the kayakers go swimming in spite of themselves. And besides, do not hesitate to find them in the water to refresh yourself.

Ardèche

Highlight (Segment) • Other

The Ardèche, that is France from its most beautiful side. The southern French region owes its popularity among the Dutch and Belgians above all to the often beautiful weather. Furthermore, the authentic villages and breath-taking mountainous landscapes contribute a lot. You will find terraces on every village square, where you can enjoy the peace, the sun and the people. The region is located west of the Rhone. extends from Saint-Etienne to just above Alès
