September 21, 2022,Nach'm Reg'n zum Gibacht.
After the rainy days up to the Gibacht. The round from the Gibacht-Gasthof on the Goldsteig to the Pfennigfelsen, Dreiwappen, Kreuzfelsen, Reiseck with a glass cross and the fir tree with its lighthouse of humanity is always an excellent change.

It's always schej at the gabacht. Today, in addition to hair ice and tinder fungus on the Pfennigfelsen, Drei Wappen, Kreuzfelsen, Reiseck and Tannenrigel rounds, there are also views of the Osser, Arber, Hoher Bogen and as far as the Wilder Kaiser Alps. What more do you want.

In midsummer temperatures, we headed into the mountains one last time. Our host recommended the "Gibacht" restaurant. The tour crossed the border with the Czech Republic. The climb wasn't as steep as the one to Cerchov, but there was plenty to see on this varied tour, such as the Glass Cross (by Ralph Wenzel), the Pfennigfelsen (Penny Rock), and the …

On the well-marked "Gibacht" circular hiking trail, the wonderful views, the forest interspersed with boulders, or the soft forest floors would be enough of a highlight. Here, however, there are also the man-made ones - such as the "Pfennigfelsen", the beautiful glass cross am Reiseck, or the lighthouse of humanity - which make this entertaining hiking trail absolutely worth seeing …

Highly recommended circular hike: Berggasthaus Gibacht - Pfennigfelsen - Three Coats of Arms Rock - Kreuzfelsen - Reiseck - Tannenriegel - Berggasthaus Gibacht

On the initiative of the Gibacht mountain innkeeper and glass artist Ralph Wenzel, a hiking trail was created around the "Gibacht" mountain in 2005 with the help of the Furth im Wald mountain rescue service. The average …

A very beautiful and varied hike, with no difficulties.
The tour is also suitable in warmer temperatures, as the trail mostly runs through the forest.
A cozy mountain hut, good food, and friendly hosts.
