Besòs River Promenade

Highlight • Cycleway

Very nice trail for MTB or gravel riding, parallel to the Besós river. You can start cycling along it from the mouth of the river in Sant Adrià de Besòs, where it starts with paved bike lanes up to Montcada and Reixac. From here it continues as a narrow and irregular path across the banks of the Besós river to Mollet del Vallès. And from Mollet it is mostly in the form of a path or wide track up to La Roca del Vallés as you can see in the image.

Fusion Bench

Highlight • Viewpoint

Get off the bike and sit on this bench to enjoy the union of the Congost with the Mogent to become the Besos river. With a bit of luck, the otter has bred in the River Mogent for the first time in more than four decades.

Torre del Moro (La Torrassa)

Highlight • Monument

The Torre del Moro or Torrassa is a Roman watchtower in the Serra del Corredor in Llinars del Vallès (Vallès Oriental). It is one of the emblematic archaeological monuments of the Valais lands. It is traditionally attributed to the Roman era. It rises to an altitude of 416 m above the Sierra del Corredor. Declared a Cultural Property of National Interest, it has recently been the subject of a restoration promoted by the town council of Llinars and the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

Mogent River Crossing

Highlight • River

Watercourse of the Catalan Mediterranean System that joins the Gorge at the term of Montornès and forms the Besòs. It is born in the Marina mountain range, on the Valais side of the Corredor mountain range, at about 600 meters above sea level. On reaching the terminus of Llinars del Vallès, it changes direction and passes through Llinars, la Roca, Vilanova and Montornès. On the right bank, the most important tributaries are the streams of Vilamajor and Cànoves or Vallforners. On the left, since it closely follows the fault of the mountain range, it has no important tributaries. However, the small streams that are there bring a lot of water in times of heavy rains. The Mogent water is used to irrigate the whole basin, and is particularly important in the areas included in the municipalities of Vilanova and Montornès, before reaching the urban centres.

I have spent dozens of times running or on an MTB bike on this section of trail that belongs to the Passeig Fluvial del Río Mogent, and I always find it very gratifying due to the dense vegetation, which in some sections and thanks to how close the cups are From the trees, they envelop you completely, transporting you momentarily to a more exuberant jungle-like environment.

Riu Besòs River Crossing

Highlight • Bridge

Quite a considerable drop due to the crossing of the Passeig Fluvial Riu Besòs with a huge ditch or channel about 7 meters wide by about 2 meters deep.

It can be easily crossed by bicycle, but it is necessary to slow down a bit because both the entrance and the exit of this channel are covered with stones.
