The first church was around 1200, a burial church of the Knights Templar. It was demolished because it was in disrepair and a new church was built in 1703, which was also demolished. The Gross Neuendorf Cemetery is located on Poststraße on a park-like site to the west of the church. In the old part of the cemetery on Parkweg you will find an almost inconspicuous memorial to those who died in World War I as well as several older or historical graves such as the four cast-iron crosses on the Laehme-Horn family grave. The chapel, a wall enclosure with wall graves (western extension of the cemetery) and a war cemetery for the "war dead of 1945" are located in the newer part on Poststraße.
