Saint Tugen Chapel

The current Saint-Tugen chapel was founded in 1535 by René du Menez, lord of Lézurec, and Marie du Faou, his wife. From this period remains in particular the south porch, a magnificent example of Breton Renaissance architecture and sculpture, but the building has since undergone many alterations: construction of the bell tower from 1569 to 1582, then of the prison located to the north in 1593, doubling of the north arm of the transept in 1611, construction of the sacristy in 1720, modification of the south arm of the transept in 1750. The placître, which has several doors from the 16th century, was also modified in the 17th century.
