Here are all the (already half-loaded) baskets and individual things that volunteer porters can carry up to the Rysy hut: tomato sauce jars, potato sacks, Kofola barrels, etc.
And lo and behold: a whole lot of hikers are lugging these things up! And sometimes it's not easy!

Rysy Summit

Highlight • Summit

The Rysy has 3 peaks: two are in Slovakia, one in Poland. The highest of them (2504m) is in Slovakia. At 2499m, one of the other peaks is the highest mountain in Poland.

The many people (especially when the weather is hot and on weekends) are already a nuisance, but the magnificent view justifies the climb!

200m from the Rysy hut is this colorful toilet with a glass wall at the front, so it has the most beautiful view of the valley! The person using the toilet cannot be seen, however, as the door is at the side. Of course, it is an outhouse, and you "flush" it with the used water when you wash.

30m away from it is a bench that swings and offers the same beautiful view of the valley.

Already last year in this area, I knew I'd be back in 2022. The Rysy was completely in the fog in my time last year. But this time it should work. Last year I watched the Sherpas, this time I wanted to be one of them... Conclusion: exhausting but awesome.
