Starting from the waterfall train station up the Bad Urach waterfall, then on via trails and forest paths over the rocky slides to the Gütersteiner waterfall and back to the car park. Several rest stops and resting places are on the route. Unique view of the landscape structure of the Swabian Alb.

-7 degrees at the start towards the waterfall ❄️❄️❄️. Gorgeous in the sun, frosty in the shade. Ice crystals enchant plants and the waterfalls have solidified into huge ice formations.
We are on the move with sticks and clogs, many of the stairs are as smooth as glass. A plastic bag is enough as a substitute for a sled downhill …

Danger! This tour is not recommended on ice without Grödel (light crampons).
The steps to the waterfall are partially covered with bare ice. It will definitely get smoother in the next few days.

The round is wonderful in the evening, it's just so nice at home.

Although the Urach waterfall is just a shadow of itself, the sun barely comes over the mountain and the Güterstein waterfall drips down miserably, it was a nice, calm and relaxed hike today. Maybe because all the huts were closed and you weren't distracted by cakes and the like. 😄

Today I was on the run because of the animal mask parade outside. So I was on the lookout for a very special rarity: icicles. Big icicles! And yes, they were there! Yaaaah! Even below the big waterfall the wheat was separated from the chaff by icy stairs. So it was quiet to walk uphill above.
