Something completely different was planned 🙈🙈🙈

Today we went on a wonderful hike in the Westerwald lake district ....

A paradise, I think that best describes this beautiful place.

Pure nature in all its facets ...

Anyone who stops here should take the time to explore this place for themselves ....

From Freilingen I set off along the Dreifelder Weiher. On the other side to the Hofmannsweiher and along the Haiden-Weiher. Then down to the Brinkenweiher and Postweiher, then back to Freilingen.
The path was very flat, maybe 80-90⬆️⬇️
Most of the route goes through the forest, much more beautiful deciduous forest. But there were a lot of mosquitos.

A beautiful circular hike over the Westerwald lake district. I started in Dreifelden at the Dreifelder Weiher in a northerly direction....
What was a bit of a shame was that most of the water had already been drained from the small lakes. Nevertheless, the light was great, as is often the case in autumn.
The route itself is not difficult …

Today I was out hiking with my son. Very relaxing.

Seven ponds gave this hiking trail its name, and 16 interpretive panels introduce us to the Westerwald Lake District at selected points.

Unfortunately, the boardwalks were closed.

Today we followed the weather forecast.
The result was perfect.
Our route took us to the Westerwald lake district.
Here we started from the free car park at the "Haus am See" near Schmidthahn.
Our tour took us through well-developed forest and woodland paths, some beautiful little paths and only short stretches of asphalt.
The tour runs past five ponds. …

Encouraged by Taunus Mo, who recently did this hike with Opiharry, the 4 of us went to Freilingen with Alfons and Emmi today, where Opiharry was already waiting for us. I met him on Whit Monday on the "Bergschluchtenpfad" hike and thought it would be nice to see him again. In addition, Opiharry is Westerwald and was able to provide …
