🤔 Slightly misleading name, but from the location you can divide the Moselle into 4 lakes.

On weekends and public holidays, wine from Calmont and cake are served here. Tastes great, after you have the via ferrata behind you.

Calmont Ridge Trail

Highlight • Trail

A super "via ferrata" or rather "climb" for beginners. There, surefootedness and, to a certain extent, height suitability can be tested. Via ferrata set is not mandatory, but advisable especially for inexperienced climbers. Sturdy shoes and gloves are required!

Calmont via ferrata

Highlight • Climb

One of the longer ones on the Moselle, which is quite feasible if you have a little surefootedness. In summer it is very crowded at least on the weekends.

October 22, 2022,Calmont Klettersteig und Moselhöhenweg ab Ediger-Eller
Great and varied round tour with many climbing passages and fantastic views of the Moselle loop near Bremm.
With a gradient of up to 68 degrees, the Bremmer Calmont is said to be the steepest vineyard in Europe and yes, that was pretty steep in parts. But the path is really good to walk and it's a lot of fun …

After the somewhat longer tour yesterday, today it was only enough for the Höhenweg. The via ferrata has to wait....🌞😎 it was still a great tour and is highly recommended, but quite a lot ⛰⛰😅👍

We started in Ediger to the Eller train station, here is the entrance to the Calmont via ferrata. Up to the summit cross and over the Calmonter Höhenweg in the direction of Eller, past the Fear of Death viewpoint, descent via the Moselsteig Trail back to the train station in Eller.

Wanderlos for today fell again to the Moselle. Just wow...🤩
On the one hand the wonderfully colorful vineyards 🍁🍂 and then the physical challenge 🤣.
Respect to the winegrowers, I have never hiked through such steep slopes. 🚶‍♀️

Very nice scenic trail with an amazing view on the Mosel river, a difficult via ferrata (Klettersteig) and many vine fields.
On the one hand, the Calmont via ferrata is great due to the unique views, but on the other hand it is also exhausting and quite thrilling, since in many places it has an alpine character with real iron material to kick and hold on to and climb to get past tricky spots on the rock face or heels in …
