Confluence of the Brigach and the Kirnach

Highlight • River

Brigach is one of the original rivers of the Danube. At this point you can imagine what a great river it will create and flow across Europe.

The path has nothing to do with the Romans. But on the stones of the pathway you can see the polished cart tracks. They were used to brake the carts on the mountain.

July 17, 2022,Qualitätsweg Waldwasserläufer Unterkirnach
For me, today was the perfect lap because the entire tour is in the shade, with the exception of short sunny patches.
In the beginning you only run on super nice paths and paths which then alternate with asphalt and gravel in the second half.
Sometimes the traffic noise can be heard from the street, but I didn't find it …

Start and finish at the Mühlenplatz in Unterkirnach. A very beautiful circular route that runs predominantly through the forest, most of it being very nice paths. The trail is signposted in both directions.

At the end of the Alb trip, we wanted to stretch our legs a bit halfway on the return journey. So a little walk somewhere near VS or St. Georgen - or Unterkirnach (which is right in between) is a good idea. 🤷‍♂️

We decided on the "WaldWasserLäufer", we didn't know this walk yet.

We humans often like to scold -
especially with the weather -
with all the complaints -
we must have filled 10,000 sheets.
Sometimes it's too hot - sometimes it's too cold -
for our fine souls.
Because of this, the climate will
torment again and again.

Hike on the WaldWasserLäufer Weg in Unterkirnach🌳💦
We started at the Hapimag resort. I would recommend parking and starting the hike from Unterkirnacher Mühlenplatz.

Babbling brooks and rivers and fairytale forest sections characterize the quality hiking trail.
For today's weather 🌞 just right. There are some nice rest areas and you can walk on shady forest paths.
Unfortunately, from time …

Pleasant and varied hike. Quite easy and therefore easy to do. From the animal enclosure to the Kirneck ruins and to the village highlights.

However, not quite as idyllic and quiet as the Wolfsgrund&Spechtloch from yesterday. You can still hear the road every now and then.

We hiked this route five years ago, but back then, there were a few fallen trees that made the path difficult. Now, there's nothing left to remind us of that time. It's mostly very varied, except at the end, from Römerbrunnen onward, it's all asphalt.
