Lovely, traffic-free way to connect Long Ashton to Backwell and it's endless lanes.

View of Clifton Suspension Bridge

Highlight • Viewpoint

An excellent spot to sit before the crowds arrive later in the day and, early in the morning, the area is full of bunnies.

View of Bristol's Colourful Houses

Highlight • Settlement

This is a perfect spot to view a row of Bristol's iconic colourful houses.

The exact origins of the colourful houses in the Bristol neighborhood remain uncertain, but one theory suggests that sailors returning from sea painted their homes for maritime purposes.

Ashton Court Greenway

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

Brilliant new bit of cyclepath across Ashton Court from the university buildings to the wide gravel track up to the gate at the southern end. Very wide and easy gravel, although can get busy with both cyclists, walkers and dogs so take it easy.

Look out for the parallel little singletrack in the trees if that's more your bag.

Hobbs Lane

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

Very useful bike lane alternative to the A38 and Barrow Street rat run. But...Summer = overgrown and nettles. Winter = muddy and slippery. Take particular care as you approach the end of the lane heading north - as it gets a bit steeper, and slippy.
