Getting tickets for the Colloseum and Roman Forum is really not that easy.
You don't just go back and forth, the tickets were fully booked for 2 days and for the 3rd day we bought tickets expensively via some website, which I'm glad about because not going in is not an option at all!

It's hard to put into words what we've seen so far.

Unfortunately, it was a bit chaotic at the beginning, as we didn't know that King Charles was in town today.

Probably thousands of visitors didn't know that either, despite having tickets. We had to take a few detours and wait until the ancient part of Rome, which had been …

The highlight of the trip to Rome is, of course, the world's largest contiguous open-air museum, the Colosseum with its excavation area, the Palatine Hill with its beautiful arches, and of course the Roman Forum with its ancient magnificent buildings.
An absolute highlight for culture & antiquity enthusiasts in Europe!
5 stars.

we took it easy today☕️🥐☕️🥪
The Colosseum and the Roman Forum were on the agenda today.
Both are highlights that shouldn't be missed on a classic "tourist" tour of Rome.
With both, as with all top hotspots in Rome, you should be aware that you are not alone there …

From today we have three days to process the city pass for Rome. We didn't have time in advance for an individual compilation of admissions, time slot booking etc. and this variant is a bit more expensive, but very convenient. The journey to today's program by bus was also convenient: exit directly at the Colosseum. Since we were there a …

Today we took the tram 🚋 to the Colosseum. It was a relaxing 40-minute ride.
The Colosseum 🏛️ is truly impressive 🫢, and the many excavations are worth seeing.
From there, we continued to Piazza Venezia and the magnificent Monomento a Vittorio, such a beautiful monument 😍
To get to the roof terrace, we only had to climb a few …
