Vogelsee

Highlight • Lake

Like most other lakes in the Burgweiler Ried, the Vogelsee lake was created by industrial peat mining. Peat was mined at the Vogelsee lake from 1970 to 1996. The lake now provides a habitat for many waterfowl and other animals.

When we, my mother and I, were on the way back 📉 from Illmensee, we took a detour to Pfrungener Ried 🌿🌿🍃.
Because the Bannwaldturm 🕋 was still foreign to my mother, as was the whole Ried 🌿🌿🍃,
I offered myself as a hiking guide

Today was the first autumn tour through the "Pfrunger Ried".
Started in Ulzhausen via "old railway embankment peat factory", Vogelweiher. Yes, autumn lived up to the Ried, that's how it has to look, foggy, scary. 👻👻

One of my most beautiful hikes. Highly Recommended. Nature lovers will definitely get their money's worth here. The path leads along winding paths, through a fascinating water and moor landscape, over the roots of shady forests and meadows. The changing surface (wooden footbridges, forest floor and meadow paths) makes hiking twice as much fun. A little tip for all photo …

Very beautiful moorland landscape where you might get wet feet (if you're wearing unsuitable shoes)!

Very nice hike, variety between Bannwald, hiking trails and trail

Beautiful hike with great trails. In the end, the path was unfortunately very muddy and sometimes it was not possible to walk on dry feet. It is best not to run after days of rain.
