Warmley Waiting Room Cafe

Highlight • Rest Area

Perhaps the quaintest little coffee stop in the whole of England. This sweet little cafe is placed inside an old railway station along the Bristol & Bath Railway path. There is plenty of outdoor seating and places to rest your bikes. They also make a mean bacon butty and have a ice-cream truck in summer.

Warmley Forest Park

Highlight • Natural

Warmley Forest Park is a 27-hectare park in Warmley, South Gloucestershire, England. It is situated on the site of former extensive clay quarrying, and until recently it lay derelict. However, it has since been developed into a popular spot for walking, running, and dog walking. The park has a variety of habitats, including woodland, grassland, and ponds, and is home to a range of wildlife, including birds, bats, and insects. There are also a number of historical features in the park, including the remains of a former railway line and a disused quarry.

Warmley Forest Park is open to the public all year round and is free to enter. There is a small car park located at the entrance to the park, and there are also a number of public footpaths that lead to the park from nearby villages.

The park is a great place to enjoy the outdoors and to get some exercise. It is also a great place to learn about nature and

Mangotsfield railway station has not served as a station since 1966. Opened in 1845, the small station was a stop on the Bristol to Birmingham route. Nowadays, it's used as a popular cycle path. You can still see the former station walls and platforms as you ride through the woods along the former railway lines.

Gaius Sentius is a sculpture of a thirsty Roman legionnaire on the Bristol - Bath cycle way. It was made by Gordon Young in 1992 and commissioned by Sustrans who own and manage this trail.
The sculpture incorporates a water fountain if you need a water bottle refill.
