Hard road ride. Very good fitness required. Mostly well-paved surfaces and easy to ride. The starting point of the route is accessible with public transport.

View of Port de Sóller from the Mirador de ses Barques

Highlight • Viewpoint

Up here you can refresh yourself in the (admittedly touristy) restaurant. The breathtaking view is in any case great and also completely free.

From Sóller up to Puig Major on Mallorca, you ride steadily uphill – a demanding but easily rideable climb for ambitious road cyclists.

Fumadora Rock Tunnel

Highlight • Structure

Very Nice climb from port de Soller passing by Sa Figuera (road recommended compared to the access through Soller) then up during 30 minutes. The view is amazing and the shape of the road is really good. Can be continued to Puig Major where the view is getting even better. Good physical conditions are required - but it stays accessible taking your time. The downhill is incredible then.

Top of Puig Major

Highlight • Summit

Puig Major is the highest mountain pass in Mallorca and a must-see challenge for cyclists. The climb from Sóller offers more than 14 kilometers of continuous ascent with sustained gradients and spectacular views of the Serra de Tramuntana. At the summit, next to the tunnel, you reach the highest paved point on the island.

Climb to Puig Major

Highlight (Segment) • Climb

The longest climb in Mallorca leads you evenly to the highest point of the island (for cyclists).

Enjoying the view before the tunnel and at the lake (Embassament de Cúber) is worth it! Lights in the tunnel are recommended, especially in high season.
