The house was built in 1878 by order of the Van Boeckel van Rumpt-van der Heyden couple. It is a block-shaped house under a tiled, flattened hipped roof. The house is built of brick and has a plinth. On the first floor are windows and in the middle balcony doors, framed in the same way as the facade openings on the ground floor. A surrounding band has been applied at the height of the window sills. The facade is closed off with a decorative cornice with consoles. In addition, the facade also has vertical accents in the form of (partly blocked) pilasters. Furthermore, on the left facade there is a large, later added conservatory with rounded corners.
