Jaite Mill Historic District

Highlight • Historical Site

In 1905, the Jaite Company Paper Mill was founded here due to the great location next to the Ohio & Erie Canal and the Cleveland Terminal & Valley Railroad. It produced various paper products until World War II but couldn't compete with bigger mills afterward.
Since 1975 it's belonged to the National Park Service and was named Jaite Mill Historic District shortly after.
The buildings that you can still find here are the old company buildings, but cannot be entered anymore. You'll find some information boards about the Mill's history nearby.
