A11 – Zunftwander Trail Bichlbach

Highlight • Trail

This easy trail runs at the foot of the Kohlberg. The 2,000m belongs to the main ridge of the Ammergau Alps and offers you the best accompaniment along the route. Let's start at the train station in Bichlbach. The 5.1 kilometer route takes you through the beautiful mountain landscape to Lähn - and back again. You can choose between classic or skating.

Just got really warm? Then you can simply combine the route with the Zugspitz Arena trail to Lermoos (easy) or the C10 Mähberg trail (challenging). The A11 is therefore ideally suited for beginners, shorter training sessions or even for a larger lap - depending on your mood and the mood of the day.

In Bichlbach you then have the opportunity for a cozy stop in a warm dining room.

Almkopf Cable Car, Bichlbach

Highlight • Rest Area

Directly behind the station is a decent parking lot, which we like to use as a stopover in transit. From here you can start short or longer walks / gas rounds.

Bichlbach village

Highlight • Settlement

Bichlbach is located in Zwischentoren, the valley that connects the Ehrwald Basin with the Lech Valley. A picturesque village surrounded by mountains, worth seeing.

The first settlement came from the Allgäu. The place was first mentioned in documents in 1300 as Puechelpach, an alpine pasture in Imst. The name means "stream surrounded by beech trees".
