At noon I drove to the Chilkoot River. In August and September the salmon migrate through the river to Chilkat Lake. In the midday sun it was much too warm for the grizzlies, they must have been hiding in the forest. I sat on the banks of the beautiful river and waited. The salmon jumped up the shallow river.
