March 9, 2024,short walk Donisthorpe woods to Moira furnace loop
Much shorter version of a walk we did a couple of years ago, free car parking, then walking along canal towpath, up to Moira Furness, which has facilities, is an interesting area to visit, although the museum, etc, was closed until April. Walked back through Donisthorpe woods, which was created on the site of one of Britain's most productive mines
