You can buy tickets from a ticket machine in the ferry house. You would need a credit card with a PIN for this, or pay in cash on the ferry, which I read too late. So I went back by bike and got my credit card.

The departure times were given on the internet in the main season on the hour or 20 minutes after. I must have caught two unfavorable times, so I had to wait 45 minutes there and 1.5 hours back. The island itself is beautiful and the beach right next to the ferry terminal is recommended. The bathing beach at the northern end is more of a pebble beach, but very nicely situated.

Turn right at the 90 degree left turn and follow the road parallell to the sea. Along this road you will find free toilets. At the far end of the road (500m) you will find more toilets, a cafe open from Easter and a free overnight shelter. There is also a hostel open in the summer. The beach is excellent for swimming both in winter and summer.
