In the tidal harbor of Portrieux, ships used to be equipped for fishing in Newfoundland. Today's Port d'Amor is Northern Brittany's first deep-water port. It has a capacity of 1030 berths and can accommodate up to 100 boats from passers-by. The fishing fleet also provides activity: in addition to mackerel, coalfish and sea bass, scallops (from November to April) and shellfish are the main landings. In the summer season there is a boat connection to the Channel Islands. Boat trips to the île de Bréhat are also offered.
