View of the River Wye at Symonds Yat East

Highlight • Viewpoint

Scenic river with a hand pulled passenger ferry across to the other side (not sure if you can take bikes on it). Cafes and pubs to sit and enjoy the view and a campsite on the road leading down.

Biblins Bridge

Highlight • River

Biblins Bridge connects the Forest of Dean with the larger part of the Wye Valley. It has fantastic views along the river and of the surrounding woodland.

Biblins Youth Campsite can be found on the other side of the bridge. The campsite is beautifully positioned on the river and makes a fine spot to spend the night. The campsite is open to ages up to 25.

Please note you must dismount when crossing the bridge.

River Wye

Highlight • Natural Monument

The Wye was voted the nation’s favourite river in 2010. It starts not far from my home town in Brecon in mid-Wales and trundles south for some 150 miles before meeting the Severn. I have forgotten how many times I have cycled it, run it and kayaked it. Simply my favourite place on earth!
