This is an exciting mixed track featuring hills, dips, and jumps that wind through the pine forest. Additionally, there’s a fun narrow wooden plank to navigate.

Blue 6 Mountain Bike Trail, Swinley Forest

The blue graded mountain bike trail at Swinley Forest is a stunning flowy loop of about six miles (10 km). This section, "Blue 6" is gently downhill with a couple of nice corners.

A great place to bring beginners to build confidence! The blue loop at Swinley Forest is a moderately graded route, great for new mountain bikers to progress on.

Berms Section – Blue MTB Trail

Highlight • Trail

So many berms and tight corners through this section of the blue-graded MTB route! It's relatively flat, so you'll need to pedal through these. If you visit in July like I did, you'll find that seeing where the trail goes next can sometimes be tricky due to the thick bracken.

A really cracking section for that cornering practice!

Swinley Forest Mountain Bike Trails

The tracks at Swinley Forest have a very firm surface and good drainage, which makes it a good place to ride in the winter without the risk of getting too muddy!

There's a blue route in the north by the trail centre (Swinley Bike Hub), and the red route in the south with a few more testing sections.

Start of the Swinley Forest Red Trail

This handy bench and information post on Windsor Ride near the Lower Star Post marks the start of the red-rated mountain biking loop at Swinley Forest. The loop finishes really close around the corner too, so it's easy to lap or link up to the blue trail.

There's also a bin, so if you've been good enough to find any trail rubbish, you can deposit it here.

This forest, easily accessible from the surrounding urban areas like Bracknell or Bagshot, is perfect for running and getting lost in its numerous trails.
A word of advice, there is a network of mountain bike trails, so be attentive to avoid ending up on one!
This area was once part of Windsor Forest and has hidden corners that will surprise you, such as Caesar's Camp, a Go Ape facility, or the fun-filled The Look Out.

A gentle singletrack trail with some easy downhill and climbing gradients with no significant trail features, this is a great starting point for junior riders or adults alike starting out mountain biking.
