A large country park with three lakes, formed out of the old Southwater brickpits when they fell out of use in the 1980s. The three lakes are popular for canoeing, sailing and fishing, with each designated for specific activities.

The Downs Link follows the eastern boundary of the country park and the café and visitor centre can be accessed from the car park next to where the Downs Link crosses Cripplegate Lane.
