Note the Route is on the old Trench Road slightly to the right and parallel to the new road - it is well worth using this road when touring since it is a closed to cars in sections, plus you get to see the gate monsters/ lions which are an impressive sight.
The entry from Newport to the section is via a joint footpath and cycle path opposite the Red House Pub - its not very well signposted - what looks like a gap in the hedge is correct way you can see the cycle route sign as you go through it.

Looking at the crumbling ruins of Wroxeter Roman City, you wouldn't think these walls were the fourth largest city, the same size as Pompeii, during Roman Britain. You can delve into Roman history here, exploring the remains of a bathhouse and a reconstructed townhouse and learning about how life once was in the museum.

Cruck Cottage, Upton Magna

The pretty village of Upton Magna, with its chocolate-box cottages and smart, well-regarded pub is home to the oldest complete cottage in Europe. Grade II-listed Cruck Cottage has a thatched roofed and timber frame construction and can be found near to the church. It's thought to date from the 15th or 16th century; however, the crucks (timber frames) in the cottage have been dated to 1269.
