The Ellon Parkrun is a fun and free 5km event that starts here every Saturday at 9:30. The course is an out and back, it runs to the river and follows it to a small loop of Gordon Park before returning the same way.
Parkrun is very inclusive, you can race or jog at your own pace, go for a PB or run along chatting, it's totally up to you and very friendly.

Ellon Old Bridge

The old bridge in Ellon was built in 1793 and was the main crossing of the river Ythan up until 1944. It is now only in use for pedestrians. A loop of the town including this bridge and the old railway bridge makes an ideal exploration of Ellon.
