The Sülztalbahn once ran here. Officially, the "Sülztalbahn" doesn't actually exist. After its completion, the railway line was officially called "Cologne-Lindlar" and was divided into several operational sections from Kalk-Süd via Cologne-Mülheim, Cologne-Dellbrück, Bergisch Gladbach, and Rösrath to Lindlar.

Nice view of the Lindlarer Sülz, which joins the Kürtener Sülz to the Sülz a little further down the river.

Coming from "Bilstein" Hauptstrasse from Obersteeg, turn right onto the newly opened section of the railway line. This goes past the golf course to Georgshausen Castle.

The bridge looks cool. Only the way under the bridge long, is currently no longer passable. Too many trees fell over

September 20, 2025,nach Lindlar durchs Sülztal
In beautiful weather—it was probably the last nice summer Saturday—we headed to the Sülztal Valley. First, we climbed the hills to Lindlar, then headed back through the Dürschtal Valley toward home along the old Sülztal Railway line. All four of us enjoyed it. Then, at the Düscheider Hof, we had some well-deserved hop blossom tea. Overall, it was a really …

Today spontaneously just on the road with my 15-year-old everyday bike (Stevens x7 cross) 😉.

And if you're curious and drive down, then you have to drive up again steeply (Immekeppel) 🥵😳😂

My first bike ride of the year on a gravel bike was beautiful. Via Kreutzhäuschen and Hohkeppel, then down into the Lennefetal valley (there were a lot of cars, of course, but it was only a short one!). I skirted Lindlar and followed the Sülztalbahn cycle path to the end – it's a must at the start of the season. …

The route is so beautiful, with great views and good paths. You could actually ride it every day.

Today I went on my favorite tour with e-bike rookie Mannione. It was a lot of fun.

We actually wanted to see the much-discussed "motorway closure diversion chaos". But we only found an empty motorway and then took a little tour through the Königsforst with lots of ups and downs 😅
