If you decide not to take the beacon you willingly find two other options. The road to Lewes through Westmeston and Plumpton is equally picturesque and less noisy or busy.

Comments

August 31, 2024,Brighton loop including Ditchling Beacon
A great ride along the coast then inland with a tough climb up Ditchling Beacon about 38km in so be ready for it but the views from the top are reward for the effort.
January 16, 2022,Newhaven etc.
Low winds and broken cloud made for a lovely couple of hours. Heavy traffic on the road between Brighton and Newhaven as ever.
