Breathtaking, and a must-see. Unfortunately a bit out of the way, but definitely worth the trip! Worth mentioning: There's a toilet trailer at Annette Bridge!

Slightly modified slate cave tour to take the bridge with you. Unfortunately, altitude meters in Komoot are not quite correct. Is actually between 550-650 meters. The route is demanding, but it is almost impossible to bump into tourists after the bridge. Many beautiful secret paths, shade and great nature.

Beautiful trip, didn't meet anyone for 3 hours, until you reach the shorter loop around the bridge.

Made a trip to the Geierlay Bridge today at 24 degrees and sun. Nice circular route, but not spectacular. The bridge is the star of the hike.

With a 2 km access route, because we started from a free parking lot just outside of Mörsdorf. 😊

A tour between Mirza Alpe, Felsenweg Zilshausen, Dünnbachtalweg etc. still fits!
So today I went on the slate cave tour from Mörsdorf, where I deviated from the original route in the planning and took different routes several times.

The tour starts at one of the wind turbines within sight of Mörsdorf, to descend on the Burgberg to the Mörsdorfer Bach …

Today we went to the Geierlay.

No longer the longest, but according to the covered advertising boards, the most beautiful suspension bridge in Germany.
At least the parking in Mörsdorf is nice. In fact, it's quite expensive: 8 euros for 4 hours (minimum fee), plus another 1 euro for every additional 15 minutes. I thought that was pretty cheeky, so …

Round around Mörsdorf. The part along the Dünnbach was a positive surprise. I lost the track here and there, sometimes it was very rustic, but still super beautiful. At the end I took the Geierley Bridge with Christmas lights.
